I get disappointed in the past several times whenever I tried to be a Linux user.
On Backtrack, it was difficult to have the Internet using Dial Up Connection and Ubuntu has a wide core for analyzing process.
However we all aware that Linux is hell times secure than Windows and its always the priority for any wanna be Security analyst or the Hacker.
This time I've moved to Linux and tried Puppy Linux this time and the results are pretty satisfactory. Many people suggested me that I should again go for Ubuntu or Fedora with better user guides but I found this Linux ditro much more simpler for new bees.
Puppy Linux is a lightweight Linux distribution that focuses on ease of use. The entire system can be run from RAM, allowing the boot medium to be removed after the operating system has started. Its tiny size is the attractive feature as it consumes only 120 MB appox. It can either be installed on PC or simply can be used over a Live USB or CD/DVD drive. It provides a second life to old PC due to its simple architecture. It is loaded with Applications such as AbiWord (a free word processing application), Gnumeric (a spreadsheet) and MPlayer (a free multimedia player) are included, along with a wide choice of web browsers that can be installed. The distribution was originally developed by Barry Kauler and other members of the community. The tool Woof can build a Puppy Linux distribution from the binary packages of other Linux distributions.
For me, Puppy Linux is like a savior and one of the coolest Linux flavor. Highly recommended for the users to migrate from Windows over Linux. At last, its free and Open Source.
